Book Recommendations

Here are many of the books that have helped to guide me throughout my healing journey.

Natural Approach to Autoimmune Disease

These resources all have similar versions of the philosophy I followed as I began my healing journey.  They emphasize cutting out all ultra-processed foods, incorporating nourishing real food, and temporarily reducing or eliminating grains and beans, which may remove inflammatory triggers, reduce bacterial overgrowth, give the digestive system a "reset", and allow the gut lining to heal. Their common thread is that they focus on the importance of healing the gut.

  • The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body by Sarah Ballantyne, PhD
  • The Wahls Protocol by Terry Wahls M.D.
  • Breaking the Vicious Cycle: Intestinal Health Through Diet by Elaine Gottschall
